Contraindications: Use of GLP1 is contraindicated with any personal or family history of –

  • Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (MCT); Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome; any hypersensitivity reaction to previous use of GLP1 including  Anaphylaxis or Angioedema; Discontinue if pregnancy occurs 

Drug Interactions: GLP1 decreases appetite by delaying gastric emptying and has the potential to affect the absorption of oral medications that are co-administered. Patients who have a known slow gastric emptying should avoid GLP1.
