I began my weight loss journey in January 2024, following a visit to my doctor. My doctor was alarmed at my unhealthy lifestyle and my weight placed me in the Morbidly Obese category, this news was something I assumed but hearing it from a medical professional truly scared me. She told me I had to make serious changes or would be dead before I was 50.

I knew that I had to make drastic lifestyle changes in order to survive, but did not know where to start. I am 5’ 8” and weighted 316 pounds. I have a genetic heart disease (HCM), sleep apnea, high blood pressure, borderline diabetic and have severe acid reflux. A friend of mine introduced me to the weight loss injections, which had been successful for them. I started the injections after consulting my doctor.

While I made several lifestyle changes, the weight loss injections kick started the journey and helped me control my appetite.

From January to August I have lost 93 pounds, have gone down 4 pant sizes and 2 shirt sizes. My blood sugar levels have dropped significantly, my blood pressure is in the normal range and I am no longer morbidly obese medically. Personally, I am more confident, I used to avoid family photos and now I am in all with them! My aches are nearly gone from the extra weight, my energy levels are elevated and I feel like I did 15 years ago!
